How to decode the Voyager 1 signal - https://destevez.net/2021/09/decoding-voyager-1/
An interesting article focusing on using python and GNU Radio to decode a recording in which Voyager 1 transmissions are included. A great look into modulation techniques and data transmission protocols. It still amazes me that we can receive data from the Voyagers after travelling so far. This is why I ended up studying electronic communications.

ROLL UP, ROLL UP! Set phasers to STUN! Make sure you're around for next Saturday's Jnktn goodness - the lineup really speaks for itself.
Along with Jnktn favorites, we welcome a NEW SHOW! A frequent and much appreciated member of the chat over the past several months, @hejowhat presents Hejo's Tunes from 1830 to 2000 UTC. It's set to be a belter!
Boosts are very much appreciated! We'd love for as many to join in the fun as possible on the day.
I think the more you learn about tech the more you realise how complex it is, esp when it comes to security, daily warnings on problems must have an affect on people.
Where as if you are used to writing n ink, the idea of word processing or typesetting is a world where you can edit and re-edit easily.
Then you start using non open standards and it causes a lot of problems and you feel it is easier to go backto pen / ink.
@kaia Make it so:)

How does using the fediverse compare to using these mainstream sites / apps from the context of what you have written above. ?
Starting the conversation we can hopefully make the fediverse a better place for everyone.
@feditips Thanks for this, will share on my blog, scheduled for Sunday 12/12/2021 @ 06:30 ish

Surely there are better ways to handle things though
@thegibson IIRC the Gibson is the server in the Hackers Movie, Follow the White Rabbit is from The Matrix.

Unless you worked for that company where the boss sacked 900 employees over a zoom call.
Sounds interesting, I am sure Friendica had some feature where another person could act as an 'overseer' very useful for a parent or other entity to keep an eye on an account held by another (e,g child).
I guess another use could be a company manager could have another person handling social media on Fedi, but could help oversee that, answer questions or resolve issues.
