Looks like the next prime ministers questions is on 18/10/2023
Liz Cheney is warning all that Jim Jordan was a "leader" in Trump's attempted coup. She also stated if House GOP make Jordan Speaker it means Republicans could no longer be "counted on to defend the Constitution.” She's 100% right. The problem is that while they may be too dumb to understand the science, the population DOES in general and knows and understands we need to make difficult changes.
As people have said, business needs certainty, so going back on bans on boilers means people making these products can plan long term, and plan to develop alternatives etc
Do you have a link to a version of this we can read please, text is too small, there isn't any alt-text (which to be fair if this is a image file with text then copying text to the alt box is harder).
Are the tools that are meant to scan image files and extract the text element for alt-text working?
The news seems to be highlighting the fact that Israel is about to go into Gaza to get rid of Hamas, So is this plan anything like the plan to go in to Iraq to stop saddam, with no plan. What will replace Hamas ?
It seems that Hezbollah and other groups are also involved, so if Isreal isn't careful the vacuum left over could be filled with another group who are far worse.
Great point, to add if you want cloud services just sign up to Microsoft as you set up a new computer, no choice, unless you look up how to bypass. In fact that no choice is presented as part of this process as it won't let you carry on.
To be fair you do get subject to 3 pages of questions as to what you want to sign up for, e.g ads, I just clicked no to everythibg, got it set up, dualbooted to Linuxmint and have no looked back at windows.
With Linuxmint (or at least with the cinnamon desktop) there is an online services tool that allows you to sign up to the service of your choice, what IS nice is that they respect the fact MS offer these services and there is an option for Microsoft.

UPDATE FROM GAZA
We are providing surgical and inpatient care, while preparing medical donations for hospitals and health facilities, in Gaza today.
Hospitals are overcrowded with injured people, there is a shortage of drugs, consumables, and fuel for generators. ...
Ambulances can’t be used because they’re being hit by airstrikes.
We urge all parties to respect the sanctity of medical facilities, vehicles and personnel.
So what CAN we do about this?
On some nights, one of the brightest objects in the sky is neither a planet nor a #star. It is a telecommunications satellite called BlueWalker 3, which at times outshines 99% of the #stars visible from a dark location on Earth.
There are no boundaries to #satellite brightness. We’re going to see a very large number of large satellites launched in the next decade, and it will change the appearance of the night #sky forever.

In the U.K., after cancelling the HS2 high speed rail link, the government promised to spend the money saved on upgrading the existing rail network. After publishing a whole list of rail improvements, they have now deleted the list, saying they were just an example of where the money might be spent.
I'm going to go out on a limb, and say all the money will now be spent on the roads instead. I've just got this weird hunch!
