Twitter owner Elon Musk just blamed the ADL, a Jewish advocacy organization, for the explosion of antisemitism on his platform.
Blaming Jewish people or groups for the hatred of Jewish people is the same perverted logic found in Hitler's "Mein Kampf."
Musk is the world's richest person and his companies are paid billions by the US government.
He posted the message in conversation with Keith Woods, an Irish neo-Nazi whose account Musk reinstated in April a few months after buying Twitter.
Elon Musk has just agreed with the viciously anti-LGBTQ account Libs of TikTok after it requested he release "all communications" from private organizations "who have pushed to censor certain accounts" on Twitter.
Musk responded by indicating he will do so in a "giant data dump" that he estimates will happen next week.
If he carries this out, the world's richest man who receives billions from the US government will almost certainly be putting private people in some real danger.
Corporate Social Media has managed to fully stab itself in the back in Canada. The link at my local newspaper when you click on their Facebook or Instagram buttons sends you to a webpage that says:

"Don't lose out on trusted local journalism.
While we no longer will be found on these platforms, we're not going anywhere."
And as for click on The Bird logo (what, no X?). It's just a big dumb login screen.
Irrelevance never looked so good.

I don't know who needs to hear this but
The postal service exists to deliver letters and parcels to people
Not to make money for shareholders
The transport system exists to move people to where they need to go
Not to make money for shareholders
The water, gas, and electricity supplies exist to provide people vital utilities
Not to make money for shareholders
The healthcare system exists to ensure (and that's ENsure, not INsure) the health of the population
Not to make money for shareholders
Shareholders in vital public services are a vampiric drain on those services
Capitalism is a disease

"Elon is on the spectrum!"
Yeah. But he's the "good kind" of autistic, in their books, which is a load of garbage.
Sad morning. After returning a day early from a smoky, wet paddling trip. I was awoken at 0645 hours by the cops to tell me that someone had broken into my vehicle. The culprits found the only valuable item that was in the car: my gorgeous #TernBike. I really hope that the fact that it's one-of-a-kind around town will work in my favour in this case. In the meantime, I won't be going out on #GroupRides for awhile. #BikeTooter, #YEG

Today in “The Fastest Way To Die” news:
People buying AI written mushroom field guides which is incredibly dangerous.
I can’t believe this has to be said.
Instead, why not invest irl Mycology books? You know, written by people who spent years learning how to identify the HIGHLY LETHAL Death cap from several non toxic edible species. Or ask a friend with foraging experience to take you. Don’t risk it.
@zleap Even if I could afford to buy all the books my kids want to read (my son is at 240 and counting this year, so I'd be broke quickly), it's not just about me. It's also about my neighbour Patricia, who is a single mom just trying to make ends meet. Her son Jeremy is 13 and is figuring out that he might not be straight. Jeremy needs a place where he can go that's safe for him to explore what's going on in his life whether his mom knows or not. Conservatives want to take that away from him.
Hey conservatives! You are not the only parents. I *want* my kids to read controversial & banned books. I want them to get up close & personal with experiences outside their own WASPy middle-class upbringing. I want them to be uncomfortable & make up their own minds.
So tell your own kids what they can read, but hands off the school library, and hands off the public library, or you infringe on *my* parents rights to raise educated, empathetic kids.
