Scooter says happy #Furriday !
This gentle boy has back legs with bones that are essential back to front and upside down..!
Doesn’t slow him down though - cats take all these things in their stride, and Scooters definitely strides! 😻

Blind Kitty
@DrJLCatlett
A friend pointed out to me today that I posted videos of my blind cat without alttext or a good description. I’ll repost later, but for now I’ll endeavor to be better:
In the video, a fluffy blind cat is descending from a 5 foot carpeted cat tree, hind legs first. He reaches with his hind feet to feel for each level because he can’t see where to jump.
He still confidently climbs the tree and sits proudly above the rabble because that’s what cats do.

@ChemProfCramer indeed!
Rail barons, workers & paid leave
"With a combined $27 billion in net income, the railroads can afford to give their workers paid leave and hire more staff to ensure the stability of their operations. Tolerating such slack might well improve customer service by rendering the railroads more resilient against disruptions.
But that would require the railroads’ owners to accept a cut in their passive income."
Shame on leaders who sold them out in DC. #Fediverse
Sneak preview to some other photons that (almost) crashed into my driveway.
Small telescopes (that you can literally carry in one hand with camera etc attached) can go a long way.

Sorry this has been a couple of days coming, but it's been a bit hectic here in Tokyo with work and all.
Photographed this little critter a couple or three years ago, at a lovely little shrine in the Todoroki area of Tokyo. Loads of nature there and it's a regular tonic for me, balancing nicely the pace of the city.

Great photo of Eddie (van halen the taxi)
@admitsWrongIfProven Schlaf gut!
@admitsWrongIfProven
Vielen Dank. Ich versuche überlegen, wie man den Satz sagt. Ich glaube, wenn ich mehr zuhöre und lese, wird es auch einfacher sein.
Viele Sprache haben männlich/weiblich Worte. Andere haben keine. Warum? Weis ich nicht.
@admitsWrongIfProven
I think it is easier to learn more languages if you already speak more than one. I don’t know about learning from “this or that” but the act of switching between languages is a practiced skill.
I certainly notice when I haven’t been practicing switching languages enough, and I use some of the same mental practices when speaking or listening to Spanish, French and Chinese (please don’t ask me to write in those languages! German is hard enough!)
@admitsWrongIfProven
Moss with water drops - after yesterday's frost today we have a heavy dew/frost melt.
The #fediverse is my happy place. I post and boost #science, #animals, #photography, #poetry and #art. I may add a little about politics and the real world, but I want to keep my happy place happy and will use #ContentWarnings if possible. I’m one of many #WomenInSTEM who love #myco and #astronomy and #coding and #philosophy and #comics and #books and #MetalMusic I #bike, play #bassguitar, and care for my #dogsandcatsofmastodon models when not working. Ich lese Deutsch. Schreiben ist schwieriger. Manchmal werde ich es versuchen.
