Dear restaurant websites: If you need me to sign up for yet another account more than you need my order, you're not getting either.

@rhm I think the bigger problem is that games often require more of a vision than a design.

For a game engine or an encryption library or something, you can clearly define the goals and requirements.

But a game needs an artistic vision, which is really difficult to decentralize.

@alexip718 Sounds like a great reason to quit and shame the hell out of the company.

So, I'm in the fifth season of my first watch of The now. A couple observations:

1) What the fuck? Steve Buscemi is in this show?
2) I still can't get over how much more sympathetic Carmela is than Skyler from Breaking Bad.
3) I swear, if Van Zandt's character ends up betraying or getting betrayed by the family, I'm gonna lose my shit. Love that guy.

@akien Sounds great! I'd rather have it done right than done soon any day.

@andykorth Right, but that's kind of my point. There are exceedingly few legitimate ways to contribute to modern society without the use of your hands.

So, giving them up is, in many cases, as admission that someone prefers and intends to consume more than they produce. Hence my choice of the word "useless".

I sorta get why long, well-manicured nails are supposed to be a symbol of virility for attraction, but anyone who has nails longer than, like, an inch or two, (especially if they're fake) is just advertising how completely useless they see themselves. Why else would they so handicap their own primary tools for worldly manipulation?

@jvagle The latter group seems to be dominated by those who are fine with just about anything as long as it's happening to brown people who don't speak English instead of themselves.

@freemo Right, I think it says a lot about the direction *both* groups are heading.

@Sumocat @WarnerCrocker Perfect example of why video is worse than text. It takes a minute and a half of pop culture references before it can even begin to start answering the question, and then when it actually does get back to it, it has to pad the actual information with bad jokes. 🤦‍♂️

For those who don't want their time wasted, the video says "whelm" was an archaic word that meant a slightly less intense version of the modern definition of "overwhelm" and we added the "over" to intensify it and then that just became the word.

I'm a totally blind software tester with previous testing experience. I know there are many of you in the #Fedivers working on many cool projects, I'd love to test them for accessibility if you're looking for an accessibility tester or any accessibility consultancy please get in touch :-) if everyone could repost this, that would be great thanks very much :-) #a11y

We've gotten to the point where American leaders of Christianity are *too conservative for the Vatican*.

For those who don't know, that's *crazy*.

@garyackerman No, it means the product or service in question has an overpriced marketing department.

A complaint was filed at the FEC alleging former Pres. Trump violated campaign finance laws. The nonpartisan staff recommended that we investigate.
You’ll never guess what happened next . . . .

The Trevor Project is ending its use of X/Twitter due to an increase anti-LGBTQ hate and harassment.

@chrishudsonjr It makes me very sad that "TikTok metalcore" is even a valid term in the English language.

@paninid @Mediagazer Wait, that sounds familiar.... oh, right, it's the exact same plot as the much-maligned Seinfeld finale.

@rhm Wait, isn't that the same guy who wanted to pay Twitter coders based on the number of lines of code they wrote?
