@admitsWrongIfProven thanks! it's a rather simple recipe: 4-5 eggs, 300mL milk, 300g flour, mix it well and let rest for a while. butter to fry, don't cheap out, butter is the key, oil isn't the same. fry on medium heat.

indeed, many things are amortizong themselves well.
8T spinning rust are at ~250€, ssds are roughly the double of that.
more problematic is finding a SoC kind of thing with more than two ports for storage and a matching enclosure.. rockpro with enclosure comes close, something with itx or atx hole compatibility would be nice for the enclosure part.
