#introduction I’ve been reluctant to engage with yet another social media platform, but this seems as good as any to keep up with others’ #science, which I do enjoy!
I’m a #postdoc at Penn (Microbiology) working with @SunnyShinLab. My research interests include #immunometabolism, #InnateImmunity, and #HostDefense in the lung. I’m also passionate about #education, #mentorship, #MentalHealth, and #DEI in STEM.
When not in lab, I’m either running and/or listening to the latest hard rock album!
Hi all, a little #introduction from me 🤗
I'm a new Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Organic Chemistry and Chemical Biology at UCL Chemistry #London 🥳
My group develops methods to control nucleic acids (#DNA #RNA) and synthetic cells (#synbio) with stimuli, like light, temperature and magnetism - we use all sorts of chemistries like #photocages, #polymers, and #nanoparticles
I will also toot about parenting, #coeliac disease, and things I find funny!
Second try!
#Science #Introduction
Based in beautiful #Lyon #France we study #bacterial #pathogens
Our focus: the intracellular sneaky pathogen #Brucella abortus; and the multi-drug resistant (not so sneaky) #Acinetobacter baumannii.
We want to know how they interact with cells, how they hide inside and what they inject into them to make all this happen.
This is our lab account, an international, inclusive, fun team with #microbiology, #InfectionBiology and #biochemistry expertise
We’re looking for in vivo rodent electrophysiologists interested in complex behaviour to come and work in beautiful Glasgow. Advert to appear shortly, but meanwhile, if you’re interested and will be at at #sfn2022, come and find me! (Both postdoc and tenured positions available)a
@shrewshrew “Is there anybody on this plane who knows why mice bury marbles and DIDN’T have the fish for dinner?”
We study pulmonary #immunity to #Tuberculosis and
#influenza. We used to focus on T cells but now it's pretty much any/everything
We believe in #openscience (and love #biorxiv)
Hey there! I am an #academic in the area of animal #infectious #disease. I work mainly with mosquito-borne viruses and multi-strain #pathogens. Currently I am a PI at BioISI/FCUL of the University of Lisbon. New to this platform. Am on Twitter as well @lourencoJML #introduction
We are recruiting lecturers in a wide range of topics in Biology including developmental/stem cell biology, #mechanobiology and single cell #omics approaches-come and join us! Deadline: 19th December 2022

Hello! By way of introduction, here are some of our recent papers / preprints!
1) A preprint on high-res promoter interaction analysis in a rare cell type (type 3 Innate lymphoid cells) and using these data for linking Crohn's GWAS variants with target genes:
https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2022.10.19.512842v3
2) A protocol article on Capture Hi-C analysis using the tools we (and others) developed:
https://www.nature.com/articles/s41596-021-00567-5
3) A review about enhancers and enhancer-promoter communication:

Ah yes that BS again #nhs #medtwitter
Soon he’ll be bringing in Deloitte et al and palantir who will run some “data” get paid gazillions and rename a few departments, leaving it a bigger mess than it is
Hi Mastodonians!
I am an oncologist and scientist at the NCI developing #radiopharmaceuticals in the lab to help image and treat human cancers.
My research sits at the interface of #oncology #chemistry #radiochemistry #drugdevelopment #clinicaltrials #nucmed #radonc.
Beyond the professional, I enjoy #audiobooks, #fitness, #coffee, and occasional #beer #homebrewing.
Looking to connect with and learn from diverse thinkers in oncology, medicine, and beyond.
So I am an epidemiologist, but the best part of my job is collaborating with legal colleagues Amy Kapczynski and Ali Miller as part of the YSPH/YLS Global Health Justice Partnership! https://law.yale.edu/ghjp/about-us
Hello #ScienceMastodon.
I am a 5th year PhD Immunology student at UAlberta🇨🇦 studying glycosylation, B cells, and antibodies. I also dabbled with glycan-mediated macrophage-T cell interactions. Looking forward to great #Immunology #glycotime #virology #cancer discussions here!
MYC vs Therapy (review)
"Altogether, the fitness of MYC-overexpressing cells depends on a fragile equilibrium between ambivalent signals that not only elicit therapy resistance, but also provide new therapeutic opportunities. Here, we review the known links between MYC and either resistance or sensitization to therapeutic intervention, and draw future perspective to exploit these pharmaco-genetic interactions toward improved cancer patient outcomes."

Simon Schama at the FT:
.
"And then as the 8th turned into the 9th, the Curious Incident unfolded whereby the Republican dog failed to bark in the night and many of us, doggedly attached to that battered old thing, American democracy, found ourselves ambushed by the one outcome for which we were entirely unprepared: the shock of optimism."

"Everything that concerns Chernobyl – the name of the place long since synonymous with the event – is part of a miniature postapocalyptic laboratory for imagining ‘the world without us’, a global future where there is no place for human beings. Such a future may be bemoaned or, with a good measure of misanthropy, celebrated: finally, Earth will have been cured of humans, who – cancer-like – eroded its climates and ecosystems."

I've worked on all of science, from B cells to T cells.
