This is my fun social media account, I will post a lot of video game stuff (mostly old or cloud gaming) and some work stuff.
If I post an image with no Alt text it is because the image is just there for decoration and doesn't provide any extra meaning to the toot.

Some goodies at a local charity shop. Nothing else of interest, just the usual bazillion copies of various FIFA games. In years gone by when these were carts they were useful for shell replacements, now that they are all disks there’s nothing I can do with a FIFA game no matter how cheap. #retrogaming #xp

Looking forward to learning more about this platform and how it might replace Twitter or even Facebook.

If you want to delete all your old Twitter DMs (which I think is a good idea even if Twitter might retain copies of them somewhere), and also your historical likes, RTs, and any tweets you don’t want to keep, I made a Twitter app for that.
It’s called Semiphemeral and it’s pretty easy to use. I posted instructions for how to do it https://twitter.com/semiphemeral/status/1591258781098594304?s=46&t=L4aWvmyNxEFRL6eULgeO-A

I haven't posted on here before about RP-8, my #pico8 demake of ReBirth RP-8, so here's an ultra-lazy demo of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fidiVjVfhCs . Hoping to find the time to rework the kick/snare, tune up the filter a bit more, and squash some remaining bugs before the end of the year so I can call this project done! Find it here if you want to check it out: https://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?tid=47284 #synth
@comrade_krampus this is exactly why I’m such a huge proponent of continuing to invest in self driving cars. The AI won’t have an ego that causes it to have an accident. Almost everyone (you and I included, the exception being a handful of race drivers - maybe) thinks they are a better driver than they really are.

Decided to look at network stats again. There are 1M more people using #Mastodon today than there were on October 27.

Just a PSA.
Mastodon v4 goes online on Monday.
Many server/instance admins will be updating.
I've ran through the process with the latest RC yesterday on my testbed and it all went well, but, like any update these things are prone to hiccups.
Keep that in mind if your server seems to go offline briefly, the admins will be trying their best
@brisgasdoc I need to look into the RSS feed. It used to be so useful years ago!

@brisgasdoc this is working well for me https://moa.party/
@joshbal4 is it like Dr Who’s Psychic paper? The inspector sees whatever you want them to see?

Cruise For A Corpse is a game I’ve only attempted to play once, and I found it incredibly difficult and got annoyed by all the disk swapping….but it does look great and feels like a proper old-Skool whodunnit!

It looks like Twitter’s biggest troubles might not just be financial. But regulators both in Europe and America. https://www.wired.co.uk/article/twitter-europe-elon-musk

If it’s good enough for Mariah Carey, it’s good enough for us, so we have decided to begin the annual process of displaying gaudy festive trinkets around the place early. Now, in fact.
While scrolling for new knick-knacks to buy, we saw these affordable and easy-to-code things and thought of you:

Google is still proudly displaying the Stadia logo next to gaming Chromebooks on their site. #xp 🤷♂️🤦♂️
@skanman depends. If I try and start skating vert I might die sooner rather than later.

Finally managed to get this "obscurity" working on the Steam Deck.
This is Nocturne by Terminal Reality, a survival horror set in the around the 1930s.
It runs well on the Deck with the latest Proton and took me a few days to figure it out.
