Alternate phrasing:

1 gold piece = 79 hydrogen pieces
1 silver piece = 47 hydrogen pieces
etc.

As you point out, this does make the exchange rates between coins fairly messy fractions.

tweak: coin values are based on atomic number.

79 gold pieces = 47 silver pieces = 13 aluminum pieces = 92 uranium pieces
