@terry I think it's just his fantasy. But he'd better find someone to run that company and let them do their job before his investment goes up in smoke.

Mastodon is becoming quite fun. It's like a class reunion. When the G+ gang I hung out with got evicted by Google, we reassembled on a couple of other platforms. Now everyone is starting to show up here. Yippee!

@schwa Very funny. There's a wiseguy in every crowd. But I'm stealin' that if I ever get the chance to use it.

@terry Why would he run the "software and server teams"? He knows nothing about the subject. We learned that from the Twitter engineers that quit or got fired.

I find myself becoming increasingly more annoyed at people who are both selfish and ill informed. I remember back when folks would sheepishly answer "I'm not into politics, because it's boring" but now every asshole who has an ICDC College certificate of attendance thinks that they're Tip O'Neill, except they're going to lecture you about how vaccines are satanic before trying to cure themselves of covid with cat pee and essential oils.

@schwa Lol. A minute. I can do it with pencil and paper faster than that.

@samhainnight @therobburgessshow Exactly. I left Twitter about a month ago. What you point out is why I decided to stop thinking about Twitter at all. It's in the past.

This is a boring test. Please ignore.

@TruthSandwich@toad.social A tunneling experiment, then?

A partial list of our reporters on Mastodon:

@Yorgus I'm one of those and don't feel under siege at all. For me, Mastodon has been this great platform mostly known only to intellectuals, academics, scientists, writers, and artists. (Not that that's a bad thing.)

I think the expansion is great. I see no downside to it because Mastodon's moderation tools are controlled by the user and scale to any size without needing a staff of thousands of paid "content moderators".

Ill be posting some past work on here, seeing the great response from my current project. This is an 1959 IBM 1401, 1:16 scale, scratch build, 100% hand made

I think the biggest thing about Mastodon that I'm enjoying is the normalizing of dialogue. Questions aren't dunks, they're inquiries to understand better. A perhaps not the best stated phrase is still taken with positive intent. And the atmosphere really does focus on uplifting voices, rather than finding the next target.

All of the above has exceptions, of course, but after all exceptions prove the rule.

Grateful for this growing Mastodon community. I appreciate you. ❤️✊🏽

It strikes me that there is no better example of a “mind virus” than post-WWII Nazism which burrowed into numerous ideologies and cloaked itself in many different ways — e.g Apartheid, objectivism, “anti-communism,” and certain Satanic/occult movements.

Many families have secretly kept the Nazi flame, passing it on through generations until hitting it lucky with someone like #QElon who can help bring it back into vogue.

@6502B Wow. Neat! I've written code on an identical machine to your model. In Autocoder, of course.

@lolgop In case it's not obvious, he's talking about himself here.

ONLY TWITTER BLUE USERS SHOULD GET TO SET STOCK PRICES

RT @farhip@twitter.com

Tesla’s stock has lost $565 billion in market value since it peaked at more than $1 trillion in late 2021.

This decline is more than the entire current *combined* public market value of:

—Gen. Motors
—Ford
—Toyota
—VW
—Honda
—Hyundai
—Kia

With $100 billion left over.
