I'm going to attempt a thread on Ellis because this is important to trump's stolen docs case. He was a staffer for Nunes. He went to work at the WH for the NSC. trump tried to get him installed as a lawyer at NSA on his way out the door. He was compiling a binder full of bs on "Russiagate" and probably a lot more classified intel. Here we go:

@cra1g Wow, so many to pick from. However the number 1 is easy, Trier.

It's a beautiful and ancient town along the Mosel River in the middle of the white wine country along the Mosel. Amidst the German architecture you'll find Roman structures, arches, walls, dating back 2,000 years. It was founded in 400 BCE. The new wine festival is great. This is a delicious refreshing white that is made quickly after harvesting. It's not aged. I think it's like two weeks old. It's faintly greenish colored, delicious and refreshing. After aging it becomes Mosel, Liebfraumilch, etc. You drink it out of the unique special glasses for drinking Mosel wine.

Thanks to my good bud @Witchy_Minx, I was permitted to take these pics and share. This is a thriving #honeyplant and has been transplanted multiple times.

It has sentimental and loving significance in @Witchy_Minx’s life. It was her late fathers.

It only flowers for a short time but is worth every bit of love and care it receives year in, year out.

A beautiful and poignant symbol of remembrance to a very special man.

Thank you.

@NessaUndreza @Witchy_Minx Wow. Thanks for posting. I haven't seen one of these in 40 years. When I was a youngster in West Los Angeles, they were fairly common. I used to dab up the little droplets of nectar with my finger.

@TruthSandwich@toad.social Exactly. That's what I thought I said. Lol.

@rudyschwartz@dobbs.town Yes, Santos in particular seems to have no relationship with truth.

@Ragashingo Finding things sometimes takes a bit of effort. I'd be shocked if there wasn't a whole galaxy of anime enthusiasts here. You just havent connected to it yet.

One of my biggest concerns with Mastodon / Fediverse right now is I have no good sources of anime news or discussion, currently. :(

JUST NOW: The new House rules would:

-enable the #GOP to defund a criminal investigation into #Trump.

-defund Office of Congressional Ethics.

-enable a #Republican being investigated by FBI to investigate the investigators investigating him.

I'm voting NO on the rules package.

Ahh, one advantage of making your own eggnog is that you can have it any time you want. Like right now.

The funny thing is that this story isn't even newsworthy if it weren't for the Republicans making it so.

Hi everyone! It’s me, here in exile from the bird site. I tried tumblr, but while it’s fun, it’s too non-linear to keep up with the news on. I’m here for now. Hopefully this’ll work out. Follow back for curated news, topical events, loads of open minded, liberal, progressive, civil rights things, art, geek culture, and occasionally recipes.

No one ever tells you that getting older means learning to live with pain better

Dear republican
Yes you will still be able to cook meth on a electric stove

@freemo Any phrase used as a tribal identity marker tends to attract stupidity because the point is allegiance not analysis; any topic of considerable depth discussed in 280 or less character chunks tends towards stupid because there isn't enough space to advance sufficiently nuanced ideas; and in this case the starting point is counterfactual, which poses serious challenges for non-idiotic support.

So, yeah, if it was anything other than a maelstrom of stupidity, we ought to be mightily surprised.

(I do note with displeasure that a lot of people more on the sane side of things tend to overestimate the degree to which one can conclude things like "vaccines are totally safe" from observations like "the anti-vax side is comprised of idiots". That's not how it works! Is there a talkorigins.org equivalent for Covid vaccines yet?)
