@detroit_yeet I don't know but that sounds likely.
@Swede1952 That's an excellent capture! Wow.
Uhhh Ohhh 😲
You might recall that Tuesday, I posted a photo of a sparrow who was staring me down. It looks like it's had enough😂. Is it just me or does this chipping sparrow look kind of tough.

@jlroberson Which church is one of the problems that the founders considered. There was no clear answer, so the answer was none. Some of the founders were very nervous about this because no country in history had ever been founded not under the auspices of some church or religion. But we did it and we're still here.
Which language was another problem. In 1775, the colonies were roughly split 50/50 German and English speakers plus quite a few Dutch so there is no official language. English is the de facto language.
@shuttersparks When I first learned about fingerprinting (using the web canvas method) several years ago I wrote a bit of javascript to try it out - it was so very easy.
Have you seen the EFF page on it that show how unique your browser is? Check it out at
Did you know that you can be tracked on the Internet without your knowledge or consent, without trackers or cookies? It can be done by means of your "browser fingerprint".
I've been participating in a study on browser fingerprinting for the past couple months. You can participate and learn about your browser fingerprint here:
https://browser-fingerprint.cs.fau.de/?lang=en
The study is simple. It's anonymous. Once a week you get an email reminder to check your finger print. The system "fingerprints" your browser, let's you know if the fingerprint has been seen before and whether it's trackable over time. You can also see what characteristics of the browser are being noted (there are hundreds).
@EugeneMcParland It's absurd that they have a vote at all. Russia's economy is equivalent to that of Spain. Not exactly a world power.
@wolleysegap @lovelylovely Not all, clearly. But the handful of liberal-minded folks here, we keep our views to ourselves.
@lovelylovely Given how they talk, this was inevitable. From before the 2016 election I've been listening to West Virginians insist that Trump was "sent by God to save us all."
@Npars01 @Creditease @DeanObeidallah These Christian denominations preach Prosperity Gospel and Muscular Christianity. I included the Cook Partisan Voting Index for the City and State.
The Christian heresy called the "prosperity gospels" are very attractive to Republicans.

@ai6yr The same. Couldn't afford a room, I suppose.
“When people post about their pregnancies to BabyCenter, I think it’s safe to assume they are doing so without the expectation that ICE is watching."
I get snarky about ShadowDragon and ICE tracking your pregnancy info.

@georgetakei So he did know there was something wrong about "the boxes".
@freemo Hah. "...the wall of separation between church and state..." ---Thomas Jefferson
"The church should direct the government..."
I'm going to guess that she truly doesn't know what the founders said about this.
@yurnidiot He isn't anything, doesn't stand for anything. All his life he's been known to get up in front of a group of people / investors and tell them what they want to hear. Then an hour later get in front of a different group and say the opposite. He says what he things will get the best reaction out of the people he's talking to right now.
@LeRoyWesterling @yurnidiot Yeah, that's best not done here. Word travels in small towns. If they think you're not a Christian you get shunned. People cross the street to avoid you. Oppose Trump and, you know, house fires happen. Not that unusual with 100-plus year old homes. Government here is more corrupt than when I lived in Guatemala. The powerful old families call the shots with every agency, the police, and courts. It's best to be closely associated with a reasonably powerful family and just follow along with the old ways.
This isn't Los Angeles, where I grew up. Nobody sues anybody here, for example. Doesn't work when every level is rigged. But I learned the art of functioning in this kind of setup so I have no problems. It's all about who you know.
