Anyone still looking for a short-term technician/field assistant? When leading climate scientists are asked anonymously or off-the-record what they actually expect we will have to endure in the decades ahead, you'll find they are not very optimistic.
In 2021, the journal Nature conducted an anonymous survey of IPCC authors and received responses from 92 scientists. Their answers suggest strong skepticism that governments will significantly slow the pace of global heating, despite all those fancy promises we've heard ("blah-blah-blah").
Six in ten of the survey respondents expect the world to warm by at least 3°C by the end of the century. Some think 4°C or even 5°C is where we're headed. Fewer than 5% of these scientists believe we will stay under 1.5°C, which is the optimistic — and totally unrealistic — outcome that politicians and the major media want you to swallow.
I am in no way an expert in climate science, but some of those percentages sound about right to be, on the simple basis the avg winter temperature during winter just gone, was nearly 10 degrees c above what we used to get. It used to be +single figures (or negative) during winter.

Indeed, i think AI is like almost nuclear weapons. I think Einstein had a vision of us having limitless energy from nuclear fusion. but we also decided to use his research for warfare.

Even if people are not LGBTQ+ you are still impacted by these laws, you may have friends, collegues, family or extended family who are directly impacted, A family member is just that even if close or part of extended family, if they were to due to being refused medical care, you are still affected.
Collegues are also members of your team, so bring their own expertise, you lose the expertise, a friend, etc
Politics imacts everyone in one way or another.

The only stupidity in the US, is the failure to arrest Trump and hold him to account. If people involved can go to prison,k then he should too.
Of course if he wins, they get pardoned, Trump has said he will do that.

Indeed, it would take more than one exec order, so you sign several so each complements the other.
I don't want to play the complacent card at all here, so long as he draws breath and he has not been barred from running for office, he can run for office and win. We should also consider if DeSantis wins, he could make Trump Vice President, this could be a ruse, as a month or two later, desantis could fake illness putting Trump legally in the oval office.
Trump isn't stupid, in the lack of intelligence sense, he can play on peoples fears (hence the southern border wall) so he can play the system to get what he wants.
It is about time we had a govermebt with the balls to kick big tech in to touch, raise taxes, and ensure they not only pay their way in all tax areas, BUT they are also held to account regarding safety,child safety and a host of other things.
