So I've been building a 100% analog polyphonic synthesizer with an unique twist. To use only vacuum tube era technology from the 1930s.
Over 300 neon gas diodes create the sound you hear. Pretty awesome for technology from 100 years ago.
Still a work-in-progress, but I wanted to post a video of it with the innards spread out across the workbench. : }
I call it the "Neon String Machine"

@LGsMom That depends. I handle carts that I intend to refill very gently. I refill internationals and Sheaffers. (I'm a Sheaffer school pen nut.)
I've found that it depends on the individual cartridge. Some fail quickly, probably because the plastic "tears" poorly. But most last me a very long time.
I have Sheaffer carts that I've been refilling over and over for years. But I'm very gentle about pushing the cart onto the nipple. I don't drop the cartridge into the barrel and screw the section on like you do with a brand new cart. I carefully plug the nipple into the cart by hand, with a little twist, then slip it into the barrel. That may make a difference.

Repeat ad nauseam for any other proprietary audio show platforms.
A #podcast is an #RSS feed with enclosures of audio files which are playable across the whole ecosystem of podcast players.
Any reporter who reports on exclusive audio shows and calls them “podcasts” are doing a grave disservice to their audience.

Police are supposed to be trained in self-control and self-restraint in situations that would "set off" an ordinary person. That's the whole idea.

Cliches are the first things that come to mind. What I've trained myself to do is to hesitate and see if I can come up with some twisted second or third-order form of the cliche or a malapropism and use that instead. It gets a bigger giggle from the smarter readers.

I'm having a shit day today.
I know it has been many years, but today (26 January) always pulls me down. My mother passed away 23 years ago on this day. She was 48. Cancer took her.
